NAMI Rochester provides Community Education Presentations and Programs which can be custom designed based upon the needs of the organization, or can be presented in the format of one of our many NAMI Signature Programs. These in service presentations such as In Our Own Voice, Parents & Teachers As Allies, Bridges and Ending the Silence are given by individuals in recovery from mental Illness and family members who have a loved one with an illness.

In addition, NAMI holds periodic educational lectures and workshops on a variety of topics related to mental illness presented by experts in the field. All are welcome to attend these no cost events. Pre-registration is required for some. Some of the topics covered are: Specific illnesses: Diagnoses, Treatments, Medications; accessing the mental health system; rehabilitation and recovery programs; housing and employment programs; crisis interventions; legal issues and financial planning; and advocacy issues and legislation that affects people with mental illness and their families.
